Material Girls presents Rough Cuts: a curated collection of studio ephemera in an outdoor, yard-sale-esque event that will offer visitors an inside peek into the back corners of the artist’s studio. We’ll be bringing out all the bits and bobs in artistic limbo— experiments and material tests, sketches, prototypes, and other treasures with small imperfections— to focus on the journey of the artistic process rather than its destination. In the hope that these tucked-away treasures find a new home, everything on display will be offered for sale under $100. Rough Cuts will feature artists from Austin, New York and Los Angeles.
