About the artists:
KUNIKLO is mutating, cross-cultural collective, formed in 2015. Their practice centers around themes of nature, queer sexuality, culture, and investigations into literary/philosophical theory. KUNIKLO meshes their particular specialties into a dense art practice, using painting, sculpting, puppetry, costume design, video art and music to create other-worldly, multidimensional environments.
NATALIA ROCAFUERTE is a multidisciplinary artist creating work that encourages a phenomenological experience by using unconventional technologies. They use visual and audio installations as a way to give new meaning to familiar objects. Through the use of non-narrative printmaking, expressive videos and sound recordings, their installations are created with site-specific spatial history in mind. Through a process of collecting lived experiences and spatial history, Natalia captures their or the local community's view of a space. Natalia is inspired by non-conformity, their upbringing in Texas/Mexico border, and analog media.
KYLE EVANS is a new media artist, sound designer, educator, and performer. Focusing on the intersection of art and technology, his work commonly explores concepts of hacking, technological failure, and digital media artifacts. He has produced and presented a wide range of tech-art performance and new media installation work throughout North America and Europe at venues such as MUTEK San Francisco, the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, and the GLI.TC/H festival in Chicago. He is a founding board member and instructor at the creative coding institution dadageek, board member and composer of the art collective Rolling Ryot, and creator of the tech-art event curation organization CounterVolt. He is actively involved in multiple internationally recognized collaborative and solo new media projects including Cracked Ray Tube, Limited Hangout, and pulseCoder. He is currently an active artist and instructor at the School of Design and Creative Technologies at the University of Texas in Austin, TX.
