Diego Mireles Duran is an Interdisciplinary Artist Based out of Austin TX and Oakland California. Their creative practice is a tool for self study, healing, personal transformation, liberation and bringing people together.

MASS commissioned Diego to create a mural on the outside of the gallery.

“My stomach rumbled and churned with the most gnarly electric joyous anxiety at the idea of tackling a mural after almost a two year hiatus.

Borborygmus N Tangerines is a playful optical mural rendering of somatic and psychosomatic spaces I might have checked into while entertaining these thoughts.

After Googling on the symbolism of tangerines I learned that they represent new projects, happiness, contentment , energy and motivation.

Pretty cute huh?"
